“I forcefully condemn any violence, repressions and arrest of peaceful protesters. Violence must be stopped and those responsible for human rights violations and abusive practices must be brought to justice”, declared Matej Tonin, Slovenian Minister for the Defence.

He also expressed support for the Belarusians in their calls for democratic dialogue: free and fair election, bringing to justice for human rights violations and release of all unjustly imprisoned.

Matej Tonin’s appeal is a part of the solidarity campaign of the European parliamentarians and politicians with the fight of the Belarusian people against the regime. The Coordination Council believes in the importance of speaking about the events taking place in Belarus abroad. Therefore, solidarity of the foreign opinion leaders with Belarus is important, as well. You can follow the Parliamentary solidarity with Belarus page on Facebook and tell you friends abroad about this campaign.
