The Coordination Council expresses solidarity with all students who continue to express their disagreement. There is no justification for the measures which are currently being applied to them. We demand that the pressure stops immediately. It is unacceptable.
Board of the Coordination Council member Maria Kalesnikava comments:
“I am absolutely confident in the future of this country, since the generation which, in perspective, will build Belarus, demonstrates courage, and ingenuity. I am talking about those students who join strikes, run away from OMON, leave BRSM (Belarusian Republican Youth Union), and are not afraid of anything. It is a unique generation of Belarusians. It was born in a dictatorship but grew up with free and European values. These guys are the future of the new and free Belarus.
